Yerasyl Zhurebek, a resident of Baltakol village, received a loan of 20 million tenge under the «Village Savings» program last year and opened a shop for processing millet. With the money he got, he built this building and installed equipment inside. It has all the necessary equipment, such as a machine for processing millet, separating and packing feed and bran, flour and millet, a production line, and a mill. If the finished product was previously sold in 50-kilogram bags, now it will be placed in 400-gram bags and put on the shelves. It processes 5.5 tons of millet per day.

«14-15 different products are produced from millet. We plan to produce it in stages. We brought a machine for packaging the finished product to deliver it to the store shelves. Currently, the designer produces it with the same machine. The distribution company takes it away. Everything is done by the children of our village. Delivery, «There is a desire to buy. Right now it costs 370 tenge per kilogram. The price will increase depending on the further delivery,» says Erasyl Zhurebek.

10 families in the village roast and deliver regular millet to this workshop. 6 people are employed here. They produce about 6 tons of millet per day. Residents of Baltakol village formed a cooperative last year, which included 80 families. Among them, 43 citizens received concessional loans in the amount of 221 million tenge and opened businesses.

«Among them, we have a bakery. The rest of the citizens sow millet, roast it, deliver it to this place, and, apart from that, there is also the direction of animal fattening. Today, we have managed to raise about 450 horses and donkeys. In general, our people are satisfied with the «Village Deposit» program. Because the funds are given at a low interest rate. If we say that 43 citizens received, how many people are employed around them», says the akim of Baltakol rural district, Seiithan Abilov.

«Village deposit» program is successfully implemented in Turkestan region. Last year, 19.8 billion tenge were allocated from the republican budget for the implementation of the project. It was given priority to finance in 6 directions for the development of plant, animal, poultry, fishery and agricultural cooperatives, and for the opening of their own businesses.
